A €125m investment in Grange Castle TV and Film studios will bring a much needed industry boost to the country and to Clondalkin, the Fine Gael TD for Dublin-Mid-West has said.
Deputy Emer Higgins has welcomed the investment and the much-needed industry facilities and jobs boost it will bring to the area.
“Grange Castle Business Park in Clondalkin will be home to the largest media park in the country,” said Deputy Higgins.
“It will be the first of its kind in the country and will offer state of the art film and TV facilities that will serve not just Ireland but the international market.
“Ireland has a vibrant film and TV industry and this brand new media park will put us right up there as a destination for the filming of Irish and international productions.
“The construction will also create up to 1,500 jobs, as well as 1,800 direct employment opportunities and 1,800 ancillary jobs once its completed and up and running.
“It’s essential that the local community in Dublin Mid-West benefit from these employment opportunities,” added Deputy Higgins,
“Whether those opportunities be in the creative industry, construction, hospitality, advertising or the many other sectors involved in the running of a media park of this scale.
“I’m delighted to see plans for this world-class facility being progressed and it’s all the better to see it happening right here in Clondalkin,” concluded Deputy Higgins.
